Picking up a dashcam in the next few weeks. It’s something I’ve been close to doing before but the footprints up our driveway this winter checking car doors makes it even more likely.
Looking at BlackVue with parking mode- will be set up with the power magic pro to give it power while parked.
I can either go with the dr590-2ch with front and rear cams.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Or the dr750-1ch with cloud..
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
The big difference between them is the cloud on the 750. Technically sitting in our driveway within our wifi it would be able to push notification to my phone if the parking mode was triggered. I’m not big on confrontations but I bet of both car alarms started going off it would give the lowlife second thoughts about coming back.
Having a second cam with the 590 would be useful while driving- but it would be looking out through the canopy so its view would be limited.
What does Oppo think? Any Dash Cam users super happy with parking mode? I’ve seen other forum members catch theives and get their gear back because of it- so I’m pretty convinced. Just not sure on rear facing vs cloud.

Project Binky 23 m ounted a VanTrue N2Pro. I went to check it out and it looks like enough for me. ~$199 w/ fore and aft cameras, motion sense , and decent resolution. Haven’t looked at any others, yet. I’ll be looking at yer research now...

I have the blackvue 7 series and couldn’t be happier. I don’t use any cloud storage because if anything happens I just load it to my cell phone. Never really thought about parking mode push to be honest If it’s less then $2 a month. If it isn’t then I’d leave it as is and if it catches something in parking mode.. it’ll still be there. I do highly recommend a magic pro so you can easily set up the parking mode.

I run the Viofo A129 duo, it is hardwired for parking mode (automatically cuts off if voltage drops below a set value). It also has an optional Bluetooth button you can mount for taking snapshots/locking a clip to RO memory... I have it next to the shifter in my Jetta.
And I HIGHLY recommend getting a dual camera system, you will kick yourself in the future if you don't.

My girlfriend gave me the DR750 and the power magic pro for Christmas. I love it. I don’t always have the WiFi hooked up as it’s really just strong enough to connect the phone to the camera, however it connects fasts if something happens and you need to download the video to your phone. The video quality is amazing and the parking mode is great. I haven’t hooked up the power magic pro but I haven’t had any issues with it draining my battery if I leave it plugged in accidentally. I will be installing it the next chance I get though. It’s 1 00% worth it.
